The next step in the technology of 3D visualisation is full immersion Virtual Reality.
Medical 3D modelling provides the geometry required to support a Virtual Reality environment. This technology we are developing provides enhanced opportunities for the surgeon and his team to obtain experience and skill training with photo-realistic rendering of the 3D-uterus in a 3D setting. Surgeons will be able to train with adapted medical tools within a Virtual Reality environment and obtain experience using tools such as Resectoscope, Camera and Morcellator for diagnostic and operative procedures. This 3D Virtual Reality technology encourages a skilled approach to procedures which can be repeated to improve manual skills and help plan the correct procedure.
